This is a photograph in my Kinetic series, and it is a photograph, not a painting! As I've continued my experimentations with abstract photography I've striven to make my artworks more painterly in appearance, working toward blurring the line between photography and painting.
I utilize Kinetic Photography by moving my camera around as I hold it in my hands and I also literally throw my camera up into the air—sometimes several feet high—and I also sometimes impart spinning and/or tumbling motions to the camera as I throw it upward. My images are not multiple exposures, layered, or Photoshopped! The result achieved in each of my Kinetic photographs is the product of one single long exposure shot that usually includes multiple light sources/objects. "A Rose's Last Lament" is printed on a quality Gallery Wrap canvas, and is unframed...a Gallery Wrap canvas carries the image all the way around the edges of the canvas onto the back so that framing is unnecessary and completely optional: your photograph on canvas comes completely assembled with all necessary hardware already attached and is ready to hang right out of the box! This photograph is printed on a premium grade archival canvas with quality archival inks in vivid colors so that with care it will last for generations to come. So you can get a good idea of where your new work of art will fit in your home or office the canvas dimensions are approximately 41"x54". (Please inquire for smaller sizes.) "A Rose's Last Lament" will be securely shipped directly to you in a sturdy box. Report any damage (if any) to the shipper immediately! And, open carefully. Please note: I no longer sign my photographs because I believe a signature spoils the beauty of the artwork. I will send you via snail mail, e-mail, or both a letter of authenticity for your particular photograph.
